TrustPoint901 Notary Services
Fee & Travel Policy
Effective Date: July 2026
TrustPoint901 charges $15 for each completed notarial act.
A notarial act may include an acknowledgment, jurat, oath, affirmation, or another notarial act authorized under Tennessee law. Fees are based on the number of notarial acts or notarial certificates required, not solely on the number of documents or pages presented.
The notarial-act fee is separate from the mobile travel fee and any additional service charges.
Mobile travel fees are based on the appointment’s distance from TrustPoint901’s service base in Lakeland, Tennessee.
Zone 1: Up to 10 miles — $35
Zone 2: 10.1 to 20 miles — $50
Zone 3: 20.1 to 30 miles — $75
More than 30 miles — Custom quote
Travel distance is calculated one way using the normal mapped driving route from TrustPoint901’s service base to the appointment location.
The applicable travel zone and estimated appointment total will be confirmed before the appointment is accepted. Locations involving substantial traffic, paid parking, secured access, extended entry procedures, or unusual travel requirements may require a custom quote.
The following charges may apply:
Appointment outside regular business hours — Additional $25
Sunday or recognized holiday appointment — Additional $40
Same-day priority appointment — Additional $20
Only one scheduling surcharge will be applied. When an appointment falls into more than one category, the highest applicable surcharge will be charged.
Same-day and after-hours appointments are subject to availability.
Each appointment includes a 15-minute grace period.
After the grace period, waiting time will be charged at $15 for each additional 15-minute period or portion thereof.
Waiting time may apply when:
The signer is not ready at the scheduled appointment time.
Identification or documents cannot be located.
A required signer or witness has not arrived.
The appointment location delays the notary’s access.
Documents must be completed or corrected before the notarization can begin.
TrustPoint901 may leave the appointment if the delay interferes with another scheduled appointment or creates an unsafe or unreasonable situation.
Black-and-white printing is available for $10 for up to 20 pages.
Additional black-and-white pages are $0.25 per page. Large documents, color printing, scanning, document delivery, or other special requests may require a custom quote.
Parking charges, mission charges, and other location-specific expenses may be added to the final appointment total. Whenever possible, these charges will be disclosed before the appointment.
Payment of the quoted appointment total is required in advance unless TrustPoint901 approves another arrangement in writing.
An appointment request does not reserve or confirm an appointment time. The appointment is confirmed only after:
TrustPoint901 has reviewed the appointment information;
The client has received the complete price quote; and
The required payment has been received successfully.
TrustPoint901 will not begin traveling to an appointment until payment has been received.
Payment may be collected through a secure electronic invoice or payment link provided by TrustPoint901. Clients should not send payment until the appointment details and final quote have been confirmed.
The advance payment may include:
The applicable mobile travel fee;
The estimated number of notarial acts;
Printing or document-related services requested in advance;
Any applicable scheduling surcharge; and
Known parking or location-specific expenses.
The quoted amount is based on the information provided by the client when the appointment is requested.
If additional signers, documents, notarial acts, waiting time, printing, parking, or other services are required, the additional amount must be paid before the notary leaves the appointment location.
If fewer notarial acts are completed than were prepaid, TrustPoint901 will refund the amount charged for the uncompleted notarial acts. Travel, waiting, printing, parking, scheduling, and other charges for services already provided remain payable.
TrustPoint901 reserves the right to cancel or decline an appointment when payment is not received by the stated deadline.
Clients should cancel or reschedule an appointment as soon as possible.
When a client cancels before TrustPoint901 begins traveling to the appointment, the client will receive a refund of the amount paid.
Once TrustPoint901 has begun traveling to the appointment, the mobile travel fee and any services already performed become nonrefundable.
Any prepaid notarial-act fees for acts that were not completed will be refunded.
When an appointment is cancelled after TrustPoint901 arrives, the mobile travel fee and any applicable waiting, printing, parking, scheduling, or location-specific charges remain payable.
Notarial-act fees will only apply to notarial acts that were completed.
A client may request to reschedule before TrustPoint901 begins traveling. Payments may be transferred to the rescheduled appointment when the appointment location and service requirements remain the same.
A change in location, appointment time, number of signers, number of notarial acts, or requested services may result in an adjusted price.
An appointment is considered missed when the signer is unavailable, does not respond, denies access to the appointment location, or fails to appear within the allowed grace period.
For a missed appointment, the mobile travel fee and any applicable scheduling, waiting, printing, parking, or location-specific charges are nonrefundable. Prepaid fees for uncompleted notarial acts will be refunded.
Repeated cancellations, missed appointments, or rescheduling requests may result in TrustPoint901 declining future service.
The mobile travel fee and any applicable waiting, parking or printing charges remain due when TrustPoint901 arrives but cannot complete the notarization because of circumstances outside the notary’s control.
These circumstances may include:
The signer does not have acceptable identification.
The signer is not present.
A required witness is absent.
The document is incomplete or contains blank spaces that prevent notarization.
The signer is unwilling or unable to sign.
The signer cannot communicate directly with the notary.
The signer does not appear to understand the transaction.
The notary reasonably suspects fraud, coercion, or duress.
The requested service is prohibited by law or outside the notary’s authority.
The client provided incorrect information when requesting the appointment.
A notarial-act fee will not be charged for a notarial act that was not completed. However, travel and other services already provided remain payable.
Every signer must personally appear before the notary and present acceptable identification unless another identification method is permitted by applicable Tennessee law.
Clients are responsible for:
Ensuring that the document is complete and ready for notarization.
Understanding the document they are signing.
Confirming the type of notarization required with the document’s recipient, issuing agency, or an attorney.
Arranging any required witnesses before the appointment.
Ensuring all signers and witnesses are available at the scheduled time.
TrustPoint901 does not currently provide witnesses.
TrustPoint901 cannot prepare legal documents, explain the legal effect of a document, select a notarial certificate for a client, or provide legal advice.
TrustPoint901 reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a notarization when the requested act is unlawful, identification is insufficient, the signer appears unwilling or unaware, fraud or coercion is suspected, the environment is unsafe, or the notarization cannot be completed properly.
Refusing the notarial act does not automatically waive travel, waiting, printing, parking, or other charges for services already provided.
By requesting, confirming, or proceeding with an appointment, the client acknowledges and accepts this Fee & Travel Policy and the price disclosed before the appointment.
TrustPoint901 may revise this policy as business needs, pricing, service areas, or legal requirements change. The policy posted on the TrustPoint901 website at the time an appointment is confirmed will apply to that appointment.
